Aging Out of the Foster Care System
CASA-NYC board member and former foster youth Charell Star and CASA-NYC Youth Leadership Council member Jeanette Rivera were featured on ABC's Good Morning America. They explained that COVID-19 continues to exacerbate the issues faced by children in foster care, and especially older youth who are aging out of foster care often without any support. They are advocating for a nation-wide moratorium on aging out of foster care during the pandemic.
