FDNY Fire Zone
The FDNY Foundation is the official not-for-profit of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY), promoting fire and life safety education and helping the FDNY better protect New York. Much of its public safety programming takes place at the FDNY Fire Zone. MFF’s multiyear capital funding supports the buildout of an expanded and modernized new Fire Zone in Midtown Manhattan.
“I consider it an honor to have worked with the FDNY Foundation as a Fire Safety Educator at the FDNY Fire Zone for the past 17 years. Every day, hundreds of folks from all over the world come through our doors to hear our life saving message about how to prevent fires in their homes and workplaces and how to safely escape a fire if they ever find themselves in one. Particularly, I’ve found great joy in bringing the valuable lesson home to the many young children that visit us.”
