Futures Ignite
Futures Ignite supercharges student opportunities for high school and beyond by inspiring, guiding, and advocating for WHEELS students to determine their college, career, and leadership futures. MFF funding supports the hiring of an additional alumni counselor to ensure that recent alumni persist and thrive in their chosen post-secondary pathways.
An additional grant supports increased outreach and community engagement associated with the Clean Air Green Corridor, which has become a hub of inspiration and action for young environmental and racial justice leaders in Washington Heights.
"I see so many people lost because they're completely on their own. Having an alumni coordinator gives me and the other alums the chance to have someone that will help us through things we may not understand."
